My Journey
Emilia Lynn Malecôt was born in 2007 amongst the woods and meadows of Thurgau Switzerland. Her early life already brought her many struggles such as two severe accidents that shaped her childhood into years of overcoming trauma.
As a teenager she struggled with mental health issues, family problems, bullying and identity struggles. All of this shaped her young mind into understanding emotions on a deep level, allowing her to bring those onto the page and describe them thoroughly.
The world around her never seemed to come to a halt.
So, she created herself a space where she was safe from the judgment of others and the troubles of her everyday life. That space she eventually opened to the readers, who she hopes can find a safe space in those same tales.
Ever since she'd learned how to write she loved writing stories for school and roleplaying with her friends. In her teenage years when life got too much she would spend her nights thinking of plots and creating characters. It never turned into more than just late night scenarios, until one day she decided that she was going to turn her thoughts into a book. Many story ideas were created and many plots planned and yet it never seemed to turn into a complete book, that is until at the end of her school year she had to make a project and what would be better than writing an entire book?
That book got her the best grade in class and inspired her to write more. It wasn't until she got the rough idea for her debut novel that she completed another book. "Children Of The Revolution" was written and published in a little over a year while still working on different other projects. Those projects are now also in progress, one of them almost completed.
Writing is and always will be the thing she is most passionate about and she cannot wait to publish more books and improve her skills so that her readers can share those feelings with her.
"Writing is truly a beautiful thing. You plant words onto a piece of paper and before you know it you have an entire book in your hands."
